Junk model treehouse.

This project is more of an idea than a detail ‘how to’ as I felt it was a self explained by the photo.

We decided to design / build a treehouse out of Junk model found at home (making it a cheap activity). Our idea was inspired by the books ‘The treehouse series’ and our aim was to create it for our playmobil characters.

We used:

An old kitchen roll centre,

Two yoghurt pots.

Scraped card/ paper and string.

A cardboard box.

Two milk bottles.

We cut and joined the two milk bottles together to create the tree trunk/ home. Placed the kitchen roll inside this added strength and effect. Sticking it on to a box, and painted. We then added leaves ( card stuck on to the left over milk plastic and cut to shape). Added a slide and rope ladder. Covered two yoghurt pots with green tissue to create branches for the playmobil people to sit on.

It didn’t cost much, creating a different toy to play with.

Though a slight challenge at times but problems were overcome by creative thinking and team work! Slightly impressed that we actually were able to turned milk bottles into a treehouse that in my personal opinion looks worthy of playing with.
