Balloon powered Lego Vehicles.

IMG_0543.JPGIMG_0544.JPGThis project is a really simple, fun physics and ‘making things move’ project to do. It is easy and you only need 2 materials:

How to make.

                                                                        Level: Easy.

Cost: Little.

Enjoyment: We had Lots of fun with this project. The boys were very impressed with how the vehicles moved.

Time: Approx 15 minutes.

You will need:

  • Lego bricks.
  • Balloons.

To do:

  1. Build a vehicle of your choice, but leave an opening in the back of your vehicle for your balloon jet power. (It could be a car, boat, truck etc. – we chose to do a plane).
  2. Blow up the balloon and insert it into the hole at the back of your vehicle. So that the balloon is facing the rear of the vehicle.
  3. Put the vehicle on a flat clear floor allowing space for it to fly.
  4. Let go of the balloon and watch it go!
